Ster-Kinekor leaves movie-goers high & dry at ‘Bad Boys for Life’ pre-screening

Socialites and Celebrities raring to catch the pre-screening of ‘Bad Boys For Life’ at Ster-Kinekor (The Zone Rosebank) were left high and dry on Thursday night.

On the night, movie-goers were disappointed after the movie was cut short due to ‘technical difficulties’. According to a source who was attending the pre-screening, they were able to run the movie for an hour and they were hit by a blackout when the projector went off. The cinema tried to resolve and restart the movie but had no luck as the visuals were running ahead of the audio.

You can imagine how wack that is!

It took no time for several movie-goers who turned to social media to air their disappointment.

Right in the middle of Bad Boys 3 at #sterkinekor projector goes off lights on. #TIA

Dear .@SonyMoviesSA

Unfortunately #BadBoys was a COMPLETE an utter disappointment! @RosebankTheZone @sterkinekor completely ruined this movie for us!

Had to restart the movie twice & we had a good 10 minute pause and mess up each time!

What a complete waste of our night 😡 pic.twitter.com/P8FCP1WEPk

The Sterkinekor in Rosebank stays doing me dirty. First it was with Bohemian Rhapsody now it’s with Bad Boys for Life. At least it was free but wow, imagine starting a film & not being able to finish it. 💔

Took my crush out on a date last night to watch Bad Boys for Life and of course the movie stopped working halfway. Thanks @sterkinekor, thanks.

@sterkinekor The first hour of Bad Boys was awesome. Shame the staff at The Zone at Rosebank couldn’t play the rest of the movie, even after stopping it 3 times. I think the torrent they downloaded was corrupted. Quality experience guys.

ITS #BadBoysForLife the BEST BUDDY COP MOVIE EVER. HOW YOU GONNA MESS UP THE PREMIER? @SonyMoviesSA @sterkinekor

So basically .@sterkinekor is gonna act like the #BadBoysForLife flop didn't happen at .@RosebankTheZone last night?

Wow. We are REALLY not respected.

Movie-goers were advised to leave their contact details so they can be sent tickets to go watch the movie again.

This is not the first time fans experience such a mess during a screening at Ster-Kinekor (The Zone Rosebank).
