Luxury designer brand Louis Vuitton is set to open its first-ever restaurant, located in Osaka, Japan.
Owning the year already, the brand showcased their latest collection at Paris Fashion Week and revealed that they have secured the second-largest diamond in the world, as well as the multiyear partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Designed by architects Jun Aoki and Peter Marino, the Le Café V will form part of LV’s new four-level store, with the Café located on the top floor.
Key features will include an adjoining bar, an outdoor terrace and a few seats around an open kitchen. Foodwise, the Café will include a menu designed by acclaimed Japanese chef Yosuke Suga. Next to the bar will be Sugalabo V, serving only dinner to a lucky few via an open kitchen mirroring the Tokyo branch of Sugalabo.
“We think the so-called experiential luxury is something that will be important in the future,” Jean-Jacques Guiony, chief financial officer of LVMH told WWD.
Michael Burke, chairman, and chief executive officer of Vuitton, also hinted that hotels could be a future development for the luxury brand.
The first-ever Louis Vuitton restaurant, Le Café V is expected to open its doors on Saturday, 15th February 2020.
