This weekend, Feel Good Series will bring the UMI: Our Music Festival, a monthly rooftop party for emerging DJ’s and live performances.
The micro music and lifestyle festival will be hosted at Victoria Yards on Saturday, 29 February 2020, transforming the space into a creative fun house of music, film & art.
As a special feature of the micro-festival, and following the community-oriented philosophy behind ‘our’ music festival, the audience will get an opportunity to curate the lineup.
Now in its 2nd year, the festival has grown from an 8-12 hour day of not only the best and freshest musical acts, it also features a performance art stage, art exhibitions from participating Victoria Yard galleries and artists and we have our silent music film festival featuring Nthato Mokgata & Lebogang Rasethaba’s Future Sounds of Mzansi, Red Bull Music films Rave & Resistance by Zandi Tisani and Petite Noirs La Maison Noir, Zombies by Belgium based Congolese rapper Baloji as well as Darkie Fictions Little America.
Live performances include Bongeziwe Mabandla, The Charles Gene Suite, Lazarus Man, Lazarus Man, ByLwansta and Koeksista with music from Ang, UncleParty Time, Slice Frederico and many more.
Tickets for the festival are available via Quicket, priced from R150.
