The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases now stands at 1,686, an increase of 31 from the previously reported cases.
The death cases also increased by 1, now with a total of 12.
The latest COVID-19 related death case comes from Western Cape. The deceased patient was a 57-year-old male, who was admitted on the 5th of April 2020. He had co-morbidities that included diabetes and ischaemic heart disease.
