Few weeks back we did report on how local Soapies and TV Shows are affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown.
A number of productions are currently suspended due to the lockdown regulations. Without question, this means channels are forced to bore viewers with repeats when they run out of soapies.
This reality has now hit Mzansi Magic and 1 Magic for their top tier soapies; Isibaya, The Queen, The River and Gomora, which some will be going off-air due to a shortage of new episodes.
Isibaya and Gomora only had episodes till 24 April 2020 (last Friday) and will not be repeating episodes.
The River Season 1 will from Monday, 27 April take over 7-8pm slot replacing Gomora.
#SomhaleWhiteWedding episodes will replace Isibaya, airing from 8-9pm from Monday, 27 April till 30 April.
The Queen will continue as usual, but only has episodes till Friday, 08 May.
It will then be replaced by Utatakho S8 (Tuesdays), Madam & Mercy S1 (Wednesdays), Papa Penny Ahee S4 (Thursdays) and Seng’khathele S2 (Fridays).
The River, currently in its third season on 1 Magic will run till Friday, 08 May and then replaced by Is’thunzi repeats.
