South African-based Creator and Comedian Donovan Goliath together with violinist and partner, Davina Mae Gordon went on a creative mode to reimagine some of the world’s most iconic fashion logos for the new age of social distancing.
Goliath and Gordon shot a number of photos to go along with the reimagined logos from brands like Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Kappa, Yves Saint Laurent, Coco Chanel, GAP, Dolce & Gabbana and Levi’s to name a few.
The designs use a simple play on words: Coco Chanel becomes “COVID,” Dolce & Gabbana becomes “Dishes & Banana”, Louis Vuitton’s LV becomes “LD for Lockdown” and YSL becomes “YeastStocksLimited.”
“Man we’re so overwhelmed at the response to these. What started out as one simple post ended up becoming a really fun campaign that I’d love to enter into some awards,” Goliath expressed.
More than anything the designs communicate a clear message and reflect how COVID-19 has altered daily activities. The campaign highlights subjects such as groceries, essentials, staying home, social distancing, sanitize, and doing home chores.
Below are the reimaged logos by Goliath and Gordon:
