Kumail Nanjiani known for his roles in movies like The Big Sick, Little America, Silicon Valley will star in a new movie along with Issa Rae.
The new Paramount Pictures comedy The Lovebirds was scheduled to hit cinemas last month, but due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, most cinemas across the world were closed down.
The comedy movie stars both Nanjiani and Rae as a couple on the brink of breaking up and they end up embroiled in a murder mystery. As they get closer to clearing their names and solving the case, they need to figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night.
The cast also includes Paul Sparks, Anna Camp, and Kyle Bornheimer – and is directed by Michael Showalter and written by Aaron Abrams and Brendan Gall.
Fans can watch The Lovebirds when it debuts on Netflix this Friday, 22 May 2020.
