STANDARD BANK GROUP BURSARY FUND

The undergraduate bursary is specific to students that are on track to successfully complete their 1st year and require funding from their 2nd year of studies onwards. Applicants should be well-rounded with strong academic results in the fields of commerce, science, engineering, mathematics, and technology.

Minimum selection criteria:

  • Applicants must have achieved an average of 65% and above in the latest examinations.
  • Applicants must be registered for full-time undergraduate studies.
  • Applicants must meet the entry requirements in the fields of commerce, science, engineering, mathematics, and technology at a registered public university.
  • Applicants will be required to participate in a formal assessment process including but not limited to Psychometric evaluation and an interview.
  • Financial need is considered in applications.

CITY OF EKURHULENI LEARNERSHIP 2020 / 2021

Requirements

  • City of Ekurhuleni Residence
  • Must not have participated in a similar programme/s before
  • Must not be older than 35 years of age
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Applicant must be unemployed
  • People with Disabilities are encouraged to apply
  • PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT IS NOT GUARANTEED AFTER COMPLETION OF THE TRAINING.

ANGLO AMERICAN BURSARY / SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME 2021

Fields of Study

  • Mining Engineering
    • Applicants must successfully complete 3rd year of study in 2020 in Mining Engineering or Geology degree, passing all modules. Must also pass the medical fitness examinations to be considered.
  • Chemistry
  • Rock Engineering
    • Applicants must successfully complete 3rd year of study in 2020 in Mining Engineering or Geology degree, passing all modules. Must also pass the medical fitness examinations to be considered.
  • Metallurgical Engineering
    • Applicants must successfully complete 3rd year of study in 2020 in either Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering degree, passing all modules. Must also pass the medical fitness examinations.
  • Geology
  • Engineering
    • Applicants should pass Grade 12 in 2020 with a pass rate of at least 60% in mathematics and physical science plus English and pass the medical fitness examinations to be considered.

SASOL FOUNDATION BURSARIES 2020/2021

Applications for the Sasol Foundation bursary are currently closed and will open August 2020.

The applicant must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Must have acceptance or provisional acceptance for studies at a South African University or the University of Technology for 2020, strictly for a STEM field of study approved by the Sasol Foundation.
  • The combined household income must be less than R600,000.00 per annum. The final selection will prioritize financially needy and academically competitive candidates.
  • Must have obtained a minimum of 50% in all subjects.
  • Non-STEM bursaries are reserved only for qualifying children of Sasol employees, Khanyisa/Inzalo shareholders, or candidates from Sasol fenceline communities.
  • Please take note that candidates are selected on the primary basis of academic performance and income, which will be verified by the Sasol Foundation.

INVESTEC BANK CSI BURSARY

Bursary applications for 2021 are now open.

Applications will only be considered if completed in full and signed by the applicant and if all the supporting documents have been included. Documents that accompany the application form must be certified:

  • South African ID
  • This year’s June results (or your latest results if you are not studying this year)
  • Official Matric/ NSC results if you have completed Grade 12
  • Tertiary students: June results or progress report of all subjects (if no examinations were written)
  • Payslips for your parent(s)/ guardian if employed (or letter from employer and sworn statement or tax return statement stating income)
  • Latest financial statements if your parent/ guardian is self-employed
  • Sworn affidavits if your parent(s)/ guardian is/ are unemployed
  • Death certificates if your parent(s) is/ are deceased
  • Divorce certificate if your parents are divorced
  • Sworn statement from one parent if your parents are separated

VODACOM GRADUATE INTERNSHIP  2021

The Vodacom Internship programme is a 12-month fixed term contract which provides workplace experience underpinned by a carefully designed training programme. It allows one to gain valuable work experience, explore career paths, networking with professionals in the field, while earning an income. This programme is our pipeline into Vodacom Discover Graduate Programme or transition into permanent roles as opportunities arise. The applicants need to have completed at least their undergraduate degree or degree equivalent by the end of 2020. Start dates are 1 February and 1 March 2021.
