Bonang Matheba has a brand new reality series ‘A Very Bonang Year’ coming to SABC 1 in August.
The two-part series will be accompanied by her 2019 docu-film ‘Public Figure’ which investigates the psychological effects of everyday social media use while exploring how our influencers deal with the fame, money, hate, and obsession that comes with it.
A Very Bonang Year will give viewers a full view of the glamourous life of Bonang behind the scenes, international trips, attending events and interviews.
The series will arrive on SABC on 1 August 2020 at 6pm, the docu-film will air on 24 August and 31 August 2020 at 9pm.
The docu-film is an exploration of our society’s increasing obsession with social media. The insightful documentation of social media use and addiction invites the viewer to question if what we see online is reality or a complete delusion. As it closely examines the addictive tendencies caused by social media, the film follows the lives of our established Instagram influencers around the globe.
The series comes following 3 seasons of her popular reality show Being Bonang, which wrapped last year.
