Magician David Blaine who is known for pulling surprising moments, today performed a wowing stunt.
In a YouTube live stream, Blaine went up to 24,900 feet high carried up by helium balloons – within an hour.
This was his first stunt of this nature and he was prepared through massive training to juggle sky diving tactics and breathing at such high altitudes.
Dubbed the Ascension, the event was hosted by Tech YouTube MKBHD (Marques Brownlee), with a special appearance by Blaine’s daughter who chats to him during this session. Luke Aikins, who is sky diving expert and pilot is heard throughout the event guiding Blaine. Other appearances include Will Smith, Jaden Smith and Casey Neistat.
According to Deadline, this stunt was the most-watched YouTube Original Live Event to date, with over 770,000 peak concurrent viewers.
