Miller Genuine Draft is excited to once again be bringing the design heat with the Miller Design Lab, a creative collaboration between streetwear fashion guru Jeff Staple and top local talent.
Miller Design Lab is about design innovation that taps into the latest trends and harnesses the talent of global creators to craft a truly original experience, with this year’s theme being ‘Customised for the Exceptional’.
On the footwear side, our attention is on the RS-X and Style Rider silhouettes, re-worked in collaboration with Matthew Edwards – a designer and founder of Matte design studio.
Matthew has created a customizable shoe inspired by Johannesburg’s eclectic nightlife culture. For the sneakerheads that love to go out and aren’t afraid to get their sneakers dirty. He explains that this design is for “someone not afraid to dance. Someone creative who wants shoes that are unique to them.’’ The finished product is an all matte-black shoe with a golden underlayer that becomes exposed after wear and tear, finished with some golden accents that relate to Matte and Miller Genuine Draft.
Both the silhouettes are dressed in a Matte Black colour scheme and they feature a wear-away elements on the upper that reveals a new hidden colour during constant wear.

The pricing is set at R2,845.0 for RS-X and R2,650.0 for the Style Rider.
