The nominations for the 2020 MTV EMA (MTV Europe Music Award) are finally out and this time we have local stars on the spotlight.
Burna Boy (Nigeria), Rema (Nigeria), Master KG, Kabza De Small & DJ Maphorisa, Sheebah (Uganda) and Gaz Mawete (Congo) will be battling it out for the Best African Act category.
It’s without a doubt that Master KG is picked for the success of his worldwide anthem Jerusalema. Kabza De Small & DJ Maphorisa see the nod for owning the SA music scene pushing the Amapiano wave further.
The award ceremony will be virtual this year and will stream live on 8 November 2020.
