After cementing his name in the music scene with chart-topping singles; “Nkalakatha”, “Activate” and “Thembi” – Costa Titch has fnally dropped his debut album ‘Made in Africa’
The album will consist of 17 tracks and invites guests such as Sjava, Frank Casino, Riky Rick, Youngsta CPT, AKA and 25K to name a few.
With this album, Costa aims to take the South African Hip Hop not just across Africa but to the world, hence the MIA title.
“I feel like its time we brand SA Hip Hop and push it to the world, if you listen to it, you’ll hear a lot of the beats they sound American, but the subject matters and the things we talk about that relates to South African and African market.”
The album is an overall Hip Hop release and references a lot of trap and kwaito beats, and with Costa delivering multilingual verses to prove his ability to play with vernac.
The introduction goes back to Ms Cosmo’s jab from their podcast and comments on Costa’s career doubting if he will ever be able to deliver and keep the momentum after Nkalakatha.
Costa’s blend on Holy Rain (feat. Sjava), Areyeng (feat. Riky Rick, DJ Maphorisa), Got It (feat. Tshego, Rouge) and Wag N’ Bietjie (feat. YOUNGSTACPT) proves that he is flexible with his style and can ride on any beat and make it fire.
Producers who are part of the album include; 031 Choppa, Phantom Steeze, Ohbouy, Mustbedubz and Lock.
