Master KG has got more to celebrate after bagging an international award.
The Jerusalema hit-maker was awarded the 2020 MTV EMA (MTV Europe Music Award) for Best African Act.
In the same category, he was up against Burna Boy (Nigeria), Rema (Nigeria), Kabza De Small & DJ Maphorisa, Sheebah (Uganda) and Gaz Mawete (Congo).
It is without a doubt that “Jerusalema” continues to appear to make history globally. Over time, the song itself rose to that higher place, increasing over 48,000% in Spotify streams between November 2019, and October 2020.
The song peaked at the number one spot on the Spotify charts—not only in its native South Africa, but also in Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Belgium, Switzerland, and Spain in September 2020.
