The sequel to the 1996 animated basketball film ‘Space Jam’, is now ready to hit the theatres.
We can confirm that ‘Space Jam 2′ will star LeBron James and is now under the new title ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy‘.
This past week, Lebron took to Instagram to reveal the official logo and title of the upcoming Space Jam sequel.
Space Jam: A New Legacy will hit theatres and HBO Max on Friday, 16 July 2021.
The original ‘Space Jam’ made a debut in 1996 starring NBA legend Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes cartoon characters. The film tells a story of what happened between Jordan’s initial retirement from the NBA in 1993 and his comeback in 1995, this time with him being inspired by events including Bugs Bunny and his friends. Space Jam opened at No. 1 in the US and grossed over $230 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing basketball film of all-time.
