Following his Billionaire status triumph, the booming YEEZY empire, and the 10-year deal with Gap, Kanye West has just closed a $30 million documentary deal with Netflix, according to Billboard.
The multi-part series which has been in the making for 21 years, will arrive on the streamer later this year – featuring never-before-seen footage and home videos of the rapper.
The yet-to-be-titled project is put together by filmakers Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah (Coodie & Chike) who directed Ye’s music videos, “Through the Wire” and the third version of “Jesus Walks.”
The filmmakers will touch on Ye’s early rise to fame and break into the industry, the death of his mother, Donda West, his fashion work, and his 2020 presidential run.
