American footwear designer Salehe Bembury has linked up with New Balance for some magical work on the 2002R silhouette.
Salehe Bembury is an American footwear designer known for his luxurious streetwear-style. He is vice president of sneakers and men’s footwear at Versace. Bembury previously designed at Yeezy Gap and Cole Haan.
This time the New Balance 2002R comes dressed in a fresh Water-Themed colorway. This iteration is called “Water Be The Guide,” inspired by a recent trip to Havasu Falls, which is located in the Grand Canyon in Arizona. It appears in a teal color accented by neon green. Hairy suede, leather, and mesh make up the material composition of the 2002R, which pairs 2002 upper with a 860v2 sole unit. Like their previous collaboration, this 2002R features a fingerprint-like pattern at its heel cut out along with a splatter print on the rear midsole.
