Instagram just announced that it has doubled the maximum length for Reels — users can now upload 60-second videos on Reels.
Previously, the Reels were limited to 30 seconds.
Instagram made this announcement on its Twitter account, “Reels. up to 60 secs. starting today.”

In addition, the facebook-owned platform will soon be rolling out a new “captions sticker” for video Stories and Reels – which transcribes audio to text, allowing users to watch without having the sound on.
The new tool will allow creators to reach a whole new audience — including hard-of-hearing users, as well as people who want to use the app without sound.
