PUMA has recently dropped yet another Wild Rider model, this time arriving in Puma Red colour scheme — made for city life on the go.
The Wild Rider is PUMA’s latest lifestyle sneaker, designed as a street equivalent to Puma’s Fast Rider, which was originally a performance shoe for urban runners. The Wild Rider‘s overall aesthetic heavily leans on ’70s footwear, featuring a relatively sleek upper and a waffle outsole reminiscent of early-days running shoes.
The Wild Rider Pickup features mesh nylon upper with suede overlays done in an Urban Red and Puma Red color scheme. What you end up getting is a Red base offset by the contrasting formstrip, two-toned midsole, and Black outsole. Additional Puma branding lands on the tongue, heel tab, and insoles.

We linked up with Slice Frederico to take the PUMA Wild Rider Pick Up for a spin – and get a glimpse of his life in the city and find out how he stays on the move.
Slice hails from Durban to Joburg City and has since been attracted by the culture and diversity the city has. From the early days of pursuing skateboarding and tapping into the music scene, his life has now evolved much from touring different cities, connecting with different people in the music and creative space.
He favors Braamfontein as one of the spots in the city that carries so much influence and has helped him make connections and gather inspiration.
