Grasshopper is undoubtedly one of the most iconic, local shoe brands in South Africa. The factory was established in 1859 and it could be presumed that the moccasin-style lace-up for which they’re famous, was one of the first styles of its kind in existence. The original shoe factory where Grasshoppers are now made by Bolton Footwear still resides in the Great Brak area in Cape Town.
With such a rich history embedded in South Africa, Shelflife has linked up with the iconic brand grasshopper for a special collaboration consisting of three colourways.
The Shelflife x Grasshoppers comes in Grassy Green, Biscuit, and Dark Brown colourways, with Shelflife circle logo subtly de-bossed in a matching monotone all-over print to a premium suede upper. Each pair is also accompanied by co-branded socks to match the shoe.
Look out for the Shelflife x Grasshoppers to release on Saturday, 18 September 2021 at Shelflife (Joburg & Cape Town) and online. The pack includes matching socks and extra wax laces for R1099.
