Babalwa M has finally delivered her much-awaited body of work Aluta Continua which marks her first solo album.
The album is nothing short of an inner being healer it has sounds of reassurance and restoration that even if there may be struggles the journey continues. The talented songstress has a powerful commanding voice that awakens the human spirit, it touches the soul and guarantees you that all will be well just continue with the journey.
The INTRO is literally the description we needed to better understand the singer as she showcases her talents by harmonizing to the instrument played by XolaniGuitars, no words spoken but we clearly understand what she portrays which are sounds of beauty all produced by Kelvin Momo who clearly understood the assignment. The following single is UNGAZILIBALI which translates to ‘don’t forget who you are’; put yourself first and pray for yourself which touches on the spiritual side.
SO MILA features yet again the talented producer Kelvin Momo you can tell by the ‘expensive amapiano’ sound, this is another motivation that keep pushing God sees the efforts and all will come together, this project is definitely certified as the most soulful/spiritual Amapiano album. KSASA LAM is a plea from generation to generation to be considerate of the future we are building for ourselves, never to be ungrateful of the love and sacrifices parents make for us but to appreciate and live a life that will benefit our future.
SWEETER is another vocal flex, Babalwa M is too talented it’s only fair to give her the best vocal artist title. The song speaks about a sweeter love that gives you hope and rejuvenates it may be the love God has for you, your lover or family but it’s love worth having.
SUKA is the next groove anthem for ladies a warning to the gents not to be messed with because ladies aren’t there for them, they just want to have fun. Babalwa brings Yumbs and Kelvin Momo on this one titled MAKWANDE which is a song of praise to God and ancestors for light and prosperity, for doors to open and success to prevail.
ALUTA CONTINUA is that cry we needed nationally to rejuvenate hope and will to keep on going because the finish line is near, victory is certain.
JAIVA and AMA’FILM are two songs are exactly the groove tier.
The ALUTA CONTINUA album delivered classics that are a sophisticated sound, and they complement Babalwa M’s lyrical ingenuity: spiritually it takes you on a journey beyond what the eye can see, you might end up closing your eyes while listening as you transition from worldly to unworldly in 12 songs elegantly.
