TRESOR has released his highly anticipated 4th solo studio album, MOTION, out now via Jacquel Entertainment Group. The astonishing 14-track album features guest artists Ami Faku, Msaki, Da Capo, Sun-EL Musician and Scorpion Kings (Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa).
This album follows his joint album ‘Rumble In The Jungle’ with Scorpion Kings which dropped earlier this year.
MOTION boldly reveals TRESOR’s music career narrative as the album dives into sounds that have influenced him as an artist through the use of classic samples, and bravely explores the future for TRESOR through sound and multi-lingual lyrics. MOTION cleverly moves through TRESOR’s nostalgic theme from his previous album and presents the listener with an album that captures the essence of moving.
Where music imitates life, MOTION acts as an indicator of where TRESOR has been; and where he is headed personally and sonically. It is a moving soundtrack to love, life, and new beginnings.
“MOTION for me, is everything moving. The world is calling, our dreams are manifesting, and all the stars are aligned. Before I embark on this epic new journey, here’s a little sonic letter called MOTION. Enjoy the music!” expresses TRESOR.
On MOTION, TRESOR sings melodies in a variety of languages including Swahili and Zulu – showing off his range in artistry and dialect whilst expanding his reach through pop music, continentally and globally. He cleverly combines a disco sound with a classic 80’s sample on Dancing with the Moon and revisits a reminiscing love story filled with dancing on Last December. Taking it back to the Future, TRESOR goes full throttle on Bring On The Night and gets vulnerable on Smoke & Mirrors with Ami Faku, a love song of two people trying to find lost chemistry.
