
YouTube star, MrBeast has decided to take the Squid Game hype to the next level.
MrBeast who has over 76.2M YouTube subscribers, shared a video to show the real-life recreation of the Netflix series Squid Game. To take it further he invited 456 players to compete for a cash prize of $456,000.
The games recreated by MrBeast include the famed Red Light-Green Light, Marbles, and the infamous Glass Bridge.
The YouTuber revealed that he spent $2 million for production and set and $1.5 million in prizes.
The Korean popular drama series has since become a hit and topped Netflix’s chart as the most-watched. The series was watched by 111 million users in its first 28 days and takes over โBridgertonโ which was leading with 82 million.
Squid Game, an imaginative, unorthodox story in which 456 contestants risk their lives in a mysterious survival game for a chance to win 45.6 billion won.
Driven to desperation and gathered at an unknown location, the 456 participants play one game each day as they race towards the prize of 45.6 billion won. The price of failure is death, and only one contestant can survive to claim the prize.
