ViacomCBS has announced a new name change and will now become Paramount.
Created through the merger of CBS and Viacom back in 2019, the new name change is aimed to bring together its leading portfolio of premium entertainment properties under a new parent company name – and become a major player in streaming.
Furthermore, the company wants to reach 100 million streaming subscribers by the year 2024 – and expand internationally.
The company announced that its streaming service Paramount+ will make its debut in France as an exclusive bundle with CANAL+ Group, giving subscribers immediate access to Paramount+ through the country’s largest provider.
