
New in cinemas, this week we have ‘The Batman’ as our movie of the week.
The movie sees director Matt Reeves at the helm and with Robert Pattinson starring as Gotham City’s vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne.
Also in the star-studded ensemble as Gotham’s famous and infamous cast of characters are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson and Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel to mention a few.
In this movie we see Batman venture into Gotham City’s underworld when a sadistic killer leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans become clear, he must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued the metropolis.
The cast also includes Jayme Lawson, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell.
The Batman was written by Matt Reeves and Peter Craig. Reeves and Dylan Clark are producing the film, with Simon Emanuel, Michael E. Uslan, Walter Hamada and Chantal Nong Vo serving as executive producers.
The movie is now showing at local cinemas.
