Riky Rick’s cultural gathering Cotton Fest which was scheduled to happen this month on 19 and 20 March has been postponed.
A statement released on the Cotton Fest page confirms the festival has been moved to 23rd and 24th April and will still take place at The Station in Newtown, Joburg.
Per the official announcement:
In the spirit of honouring Riky’s legacy, Cotton Fest 2022 will still be taking place at The Station in Newtown but has been postponed to 23rd and 24th April.
We appreciate the outpouring of love, support and appreciation for Riky’s contribution to the culture.
Riky was passionate about the development of young creatives and inspired positivity within South Africa’s entertainment industry.
The Cotton Fest team will keep his vision alive by bringing cotton eaters together to celebrate the fusion of music and fashion.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused to current ticket holders who might not be able to attend on these new days.
Cotton Eaters, let’s operate this one!
Tickets for the show have been since sold out days after release.
