Don’t be alarmed if you woke up to no Uber or Bolt services today.

E-hailing drivers including Uber, Uber Eats, Mr D, Bolt, Didi and InDriver today began a three-day national strike which will last until Thursday, 24 March.

The drivers want the government to intervene in regulating the industry.

The drivers say they are also demanding fair pay in the light of rising petrol prices, as well as safety measures to be put in place and to end exploitation.

The drivers will head to the Department of Trade and Industry first and then to the Union Buildings where a memorandum of demands will be handed over.
