Minister Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi has instructed the Department of Home Affairs to extend operating hours to 18:30 at its offices across the country, and this will be until Friday, 08 April 2022.
This is to ensure that all clients that visited the offices on Friday are served.
Home Affairs system was hit by an outage on Friday, 01 April after a cable breakage that impacted service delivery.
Minister Motsoaledi said the Department owed it to the public to extend operating hours to compensate for the unfortunate network failure incident.
