The street culture connoisseur, Okmalumkoolkat has not released an album, since the 2018 classic Mlazi Milano and 2020 Ep project ‘Bhlomington’. He has since then continued to grow and expand his interests in the culture through fashion and merchandise. Which has then go on to assist in the creative process of the long awaited album, uShukela eTyeni.
Honouring his fans and giving a platform to new talent, Mr Mlazi Milano finally releases the much anticipated and years in the making, uShukela eTiyeni. The 18- Track album shows off his broad range in art & culture and continues to set the bar at the top for the street culture, with the effortless style and sound.
uShukela eTiyeni meaning “The Sugar in the Tea” once again showcases the vast talent Okmalumkoolkat has through the sounds and musical styles he offers. The project seamlessly moves through different genres without sounding off tune and keeping the authentic Don Spovington signatures we all know and love. The album features some of our favourite artists, like DJ Tira, Beast and Debra Nist from the previous projects, just to name a few. The album reminds us of the talent Okmalumkoolkat is, by bringing the different talents together to give us sounds that will be enjoyed by people from all walks of life.
