Paul Simon and Arie Fabian founded “phygital” concept store—We are Egg—is expanding its national footprint, with a new space opening in Johannesburg this September.
Joburg’s We Are EGG store is set to open on Thursday, 29 September 2022 at The Zone Rosebank. The area is designed to give small and medium-sized businesses, retailers, and entrepreneurs access to retail space without having to lease a physical store.
The first flagship store opened in Cavendish, Cape Town in 2020.
The 3000 SQM space will house fashion, food, homeware, and lifestyle departments, including a restaurant and a Bar. Brand-wise, you can look forward to finding both local and international brands, including RICH MNISI, Sol-Sol, Artclub and Friends, Cultish®, PUMA, New Balance, Amanda du-Pont’s lelive, Crocs, LimitedRun, Converse, and more.
Besides shopping, the Rosebank store will offer an entertainment vibe including live music, in-store attractions, and court sessions.
We Are EGG concept is also expected to roll out in Gateway Mall in Durban as the next location.
This retail concept is a joint venture between Old Mutual Property and retail mavens Paul Simon (founder of Young Designers Emporium) and Arie Fabian (who built up the Fabiani brand).
