The renowned rapper—Curtis Jackson (FKA “50 Cent”) recently announced his end of the deal with Starz network, which has been holding down his “Power” franchise.
50 Cent is executive producer and the mastermind behind the “Power” franchise, in collaboration with Courtney A. Kemp.
Per Deadline, reps for Jackson confirmed to the publication that he did not renew his agreement with the Lionsgate-owned premium cabler.
On Friday, 16th September—50 Cent took it to social media to share the news by posting a video of the Pittsburgh Pirates celebrating in the locker room—with the caption
“This is my vibe right now!” 50 captioned the post. “STARZ deal done, we had nothing but success so no hard feelings. i’m out. I’ll let you know where we are going shortly.”

That was followed by another post, on Saturday (17th September)—“09-17-22 official day of really owning my content and deciding where and how I do it moving forward,” 50 Cent wrote in an Instagram post.

Additionally, Deadline reports that the rapper is “believed to be entertaining multiple offers from streamers and studios for his G-Unit Film & Television, whose current slate includes 25 series in production and projects in development”.
However, that doesn’t mean the “Power” catalog which includes (Power, Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Power Book IV: Force, and BMF), will be removed from the Starz network. The shows will continue to be aired on the platform.
Currently, Power Book III: Raising Kanan is airing, and recently received an early season 3 renewal, while his BMF series will get a season 2 premiere in January 2023. In addition to all of this, the third season of Power Book II: Ghost is set to hit Starz In the near future.
