New Balance continues to hit the right notes throughout this year with the latest offering—New Balance 2002R 'Core Pack'
The New Balance 2002 model originally arrived in 2010 as the successor to the New Balance 2001 under the ‘Made in USA’ branch.
A decade later, the2002R started picking up its pace through 2021, with collabs from Salehe Bembury and the highly sought-after "Protection Pack," as well as some of the hottest general releases.
The 2002—now with an R suffix—under NB’s lifestyle category—arrives with few updates that have been made; notably, the 860v2’s midsole, the original model’s exposed forefoot N-Ergy has now been either swapped out or encased in ABZORB foam. The upper has remained largely unchanged, with luxurious nubuck and leather overlays atop a supple durable mesh.
