UPDATE (28 October, 12:31): Xiaomi will be opening its official South African store on Saturday, 05 November. To be located inside Sandton City, the experience store will offer Xiaomi’s wide range of smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and other cool tech devices. On opening, the store will be offering 50 percent off select items with launch day deals.

Xiaomi Corporate, a global consumer electronics, and smart manufacturing company—is gearing up to open its first retail store in Sandton City, Johannesburg soon.
The Xiaomi Mi Store is located inside the Sandton City mall (Shop L21), next to the Nike store. Locally, Xiaomi products are accessible through its online store and third-party retailers like Takealot, and Incredible Connection, amongst others.
Worldwide, the company not only has Mi Stores in its origin country, China, but it has extended to many parts of the world including Europe and the Middle East. In certain countries, Xiaomi is the most popular smartphone brand by volume.
Founded in 2010, Xiaomi is a consumer electronics and smart manufacturing company with smartphones and smart hardware connected by an IoT platform at its core. The brand offers a wide range of products from Smartphones (Mi line, Mi Note, and Redmi line), Tablets, Laptops, Smartwatches, TV streaming boxes, Audio devices, and more.
