Balenciaga’s partnership with Kanye West is officially over following a string of controversial public comments.
News of the break up was announced by the French fashion house on Friday. Kering, Balenciaga’s parent company, recently published a statement communicating their decision:
“Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.”
For the past weeks, Ye has made numerous controversial comments, amongst those include anti-Semitic threats and questioning George Floyd’s death.
The news comes a month after GAP ended its partnership with the rapper, while adidas is expected to follow suit after putting the deal under review.
