Without a doubt, one of the key players in New Balance‘s lifestyle footwear division has to be the beloved 550 model.
Following several colourways that were released recently, we now have the “Marquette,” “Pink Sand,” and the “Rain Cloud” hitting local retailers this October.
The “Marquette” version arrives in clean White, perforated based on the upper, with tints of blue and yellow around the heel to evoke the Marquette University team colors. Wine-like burgundy red and sky blue are used to highlight the color and outsole respectively. The mix-and-match of the colors gives the shoe a vintage varsity aesthetic. The large bubble ‘N’ logo appears in university blue and is outlined in navy.
The “Rain Cloud” version arrives in a crisp white leather base with perforations for breathability and light cream counterparts for pops of contrast, notably the midfoot “N” logo, “550” branding, and tongue and heel brandings. In addition, a grey-coloured panel wraps around the toes. A full-length cushioned midsole unit beneath the feet completes these covetable New Balance trainers.
This “Pink Sand” version arrives in a White, Pink Sand, and Sea Salt colour scheme. This offering of the New Balance 550 comes constructed in a mix of leather, suede, and mesh materials. Signature “550” branding and “N” side logos atop a rubber outsole completes the design.
