Under the new leadership of Elon Musk, it’s clear that Twitter is heading in a new direction and will introduce big changes. According to The Verge, the company plans to make changes to its paid-for version, Twitter Blue. Users currently pay $4.99 a month to get additional features on the platform.

Twitter plans to charge $20.00 for the new Twitter Blue subscription and all verified users will have 90 days to subscribe or lose the blue badge.

“Employees working on the project were told on Sunday that they need to meet a deadline of November 7th to launch the feature or they will be fired,” The Verge states.

Musk now owns Twitter and has since fired its past CEO Parag Agrawal, who took over from Jack Dorsey last year.
