Netflix’s new comedy “Blockbuster” takes the spotlight as our show of the week.
Released this past week, the show is set in the present day and takes place at the last Blockbuster store, a video rental franchise trying to survive against the booming streaming services.
Randall Park stars as Timmy, and he’s the store manager who loves his job, customers, and movies. He feels threatened when he finds out that all the other franchise locations have closed except for his. To survive, Timmy and his staff must make significant sacrifices to keep their business and community thriving.
