Spotify has released the results for the 2022 Wrapped, showcasing Songs, Albums, and Artists that were most streamed on their platform.

Users are also able to get on the app to get a detailed snapshot of the top artists, creators, and songs they streamed the most this year.

Taking a look a South Africa’s results, Amapiano comes top as the most streamed genre.

Kabza De Small leads as the most streamed local artist, and he is also one of only two South African artists to feature in the top ten most streamed artists overall in South Africa, ranking second to Drake, and ahead of The Weeknd, who claims the number three spot.

He takes reign from his main collaborator DJ Maphorisa, who was last year’s most streamed local act.

His lead album for 2022 KOA II Part 1 also tops the charts for the most streamed South African album in South Africa in 2022.
