Expect to see more of Wednesday Addams when Netflix hit series “Wednesday” returns for Season 2.

The renewal news comes with a video announcement promising more “torture” ahead for Wednesday in Season 2. Naturally, the amateur detective and mystery writer wouldn’t have it any other way.

The series broke the Netflix record for most hours viewed in a single week, twice. In the first week, it raked in 341.23 million hours viewed; in its second, 411.29 million hours viewed.

The series follows Wednesday (played by Jenna Ortega), who after getting expelled due to a major incident involving piranhas, enrolls in her parents’ former school where she meets kids her age who understand her strangeness. After entering Nevermore Academy, she discovers that her new school is full of mystery, mayhem, and murder.

She’s caught in between the killing spree terrorizing the local town and solving the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago.

The first which consists of eight-episode series stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and George Burcea as Lurch.
