James Cameron‘s 1997 classic romance movie “Titanic” will be re-released in cinemas this February to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the timeless love story.
The remastered version will hit cinemas on February 10 and will be available to watch in 3D 4K HDR with a high frame rate.
Led by Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, it held the No. 1 box office spot for 15 straight weeks and became the highest-grossing movie of all time, ultimately earning $2.2 billion worldwide—a record it held until it was overtaken by 2009’s Avatar and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
The three-hour epic romance-disaster film follows the story of a wealthy young woman named Rose (played by Kate Winslet) who falls in love with an artist named Jack (played Leonardo DiCaprio) while on a luxurious voyage aboard the Titanic. Tragedy strikes when the ship hits an iceberg and begins to sink, leading to a race against time for Rose and Jack to survive and be together. With stunning special effects and an unforgettable soundtrack, “Titanic” captivates its audience with a tale of love, loss, and the power of the human spirit.
“Titanic” will hit local cinemas including Ster-Kinekor and Nu Metro on Friday, 10th February 20203.
