Nigerian sensation, Temilade Openiyi, known to many as Tems, is officially a Grammy Award-winning artist.

The singer scooped her first Grammy for her contribution to the hit song “Wait For U” by Future featuring Drake.

The song won in the category of “Best Melodic Rap Performance” over artists including Latto, Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, and DJ Khaled. With this win, Tems becomes the first female Nigerian artist to win a Grammy.

The award ceremony took place this past Sunday in Los Angeles, California, and was hosted by Trevor Noah.
