This year will bring another jam-packed lineup of blockbuster movies. For our movie fans, we bring you a list of the top 10 movies to look forward to this year. While last year was a good year for a number of releases, this year looks even hotter.
With a bunch of movies to choose from, including comedy, action, thriller, animation, adventure, and horror, we have picked movies that are a priority.
This year, movie fans can look forward to a number of blockbusters, including Scream IV, Creed 3, John Wick 4, and the new Spiderman movie.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Release Date: February 17
In this movie, Marvel introduces Jonathan Majors as the MCU’s newest supervillain, Kang the Conqueror. We also get a glimpse of MODOK who made his first full appearance in Marvel Comics in Tales of Suspense. In this movie, the villain will be portrayed by Corey Stoll, who appeared as the villain Yellowjacket in the first Ant-Man movie.
Creed 3
Release Date: March 3
The new sequel will see Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors come together.
“After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) has been thriving in both his career and family life,” says the synopsis. “When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian (Jonathan Majors), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian – a fighter who has nothing to lose.”
Scream VI
Release Date: March 10
Ghostface returns for the sixth chapter of Scream.
The movie continues with the survivors of the latest Ghostface killings, sisters Samantha and Tara Carpenter and twins Chad and Mindy Meeks, leaving Woodsboro behind and starting a new chapter of their lives in New York City only to again be plagued by a streak of murders by a new Ghostface killer.
John Wick: Chapter 4
Release Date: March 24
The Keanu Reeves-led sequel will hit cinemas in March this year.
“John Wick (Keanu Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating The High Table,” says the synopsis. “But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Release Date: May 5
Following the release of the Holiday Special in late November 2022, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is finally coming to cinemas this May after a long wait for Marvel fans.
In Guardians of the Galaxy 3 our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Fast X
Release Date: May 19
The tenth installment of Fast & Furious returns this year.
In addition to Diesel, series stars reprising their roles from the franchise’s early days include Michelle Rodriguez as Dom’s wife and partner Letty, Jordanna Brewster as his sister Mia, with Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Sung Kang returning as Roman, Tej and Han respectively.
Returning cast members from later installments include Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw, Helen Mirren as his mother Queenie, Charlize Theron as Cipher, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Scott Wastwood as Eric, and John Cena as Dom’s brother Jakob.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Release Date: June 2
The sequel to 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, arrives later this year.
After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Miles Morales is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders. He must soon redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
Release Date: June 9
Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons. Directed by Steven Caple Jr. and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, the film arrives in theatres June 9, 2023.
Equalizer 3
Release Date: 1 September 2023
Denzel Washington returns for the third installment of The Equalizer directed by Antoine Fuqua. It is the sequel to the 2018 film The Equalizer 2, which was based on the TV series of the same name. The film stars Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Release Date: December 25
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is the sequel to Aquaman. It will be the fifteenth and as-of-yet final installment in the DC Extended Universe, and is scheduled for release on December 25, 2023.
Directed by James Wan, the film will star Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Amber Heard as Princess Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as David Kane/Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Prince Orm Marius, and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.
