Last night, Netflix live-streamed the new Chris Rock stand-up comedy special “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage”.
On this second stand-up special for the streamer, Rock went all in and touched on a number of issues, including woke culture, politics, Meghan Markle, and of course getting slapped by Will Smith at last year’s Oscars.
“Will Smith practices selective outrage,” Rock told his audience in the special, adding that the slap was motivated by Smith and his wife’s marital problems rather than his Oscars joke.
Rock went on to also mock Smith for his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s infamous “entanglement”.
“People are like did it hurt? It still hurts! I got Summertime ringing in my ears.”
“I took that hit like Pacquiao.”
In 2022 Smith went on to the Oscar stage slapping Rock across the face after he made a joke about Pinkett Smith’s bald head not aware she suffers from alopecia.
This is Rockโs second stand-up special for Netflix, after 2018โs Tamborine.
The 1-hour long special which was performed at Baltimore, at Marylandโs iconic Hippodrome Theatreis now streaming on Netflix.
