To add to the recent announcement that Warner Bros. Discovery has unveiled MAX, a new streaming service that combines HBO Max and Discovery+, the company has also confirmed the development of a Harry Potter series exclusively for the platform.
The new Harry Potter series will become a “decade-long series” produced with the same epic craft, love and care this global franchise is known for.
The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail, much loved characters and dramatic locations that Harry Potter fans have loved for over twenty-five years. Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and beloved films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally.
In addition to other new shows announced, a new comedy series derived from “The Big Bang Theory” is also in development. Original series co-creator Chuck Lorre will executive produce the show via Chuck Lorre Productions.
Other major title includes a new Game of Thrones prequel TV series called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, which is based on George R.R. Martin’s Dunk and Egg book series’.
