More than a gifted lyrical duo, Killer Mike and El-P’s work as Run the Jewels expanded the tenets of classic hip-hop with a topical edge and reverence for its roots.
Inspired by their most recent albums RTJ3 and RTJ4, the group worked with Nike SB on a duo of Dunks that expand their story through the silhouettes they’ve had a longtime affinity for.
The Nike SB Dunk High “Run the Jewels” sports an Active Pink, Black, and Metallic Gold colour scheme.Constructed with a black tumbled leather base with exotic pony hair fuchsia overlays, the Run the Jewels Dunk High immediately hits hard with custom jeweled Swooshes in black. Deep on hidden details, the shoe features stash pockets beneath the tongue, “Run the Jewels” logo detailing on the back of the lateral ankle straps, as well as custom art peppered throughout the design, topped off with four unique lace options and custom gold lace dubraes of their iconic logo.
While, the Low-top version arrives in tonal blue suede with loud Active Pink Swooshes, three lace options, and a translucent blue midsole/outsole with custom Run the Jewels art underneath. Along with hits of gold branding, the Run the Jewels Dunk Low features several nods to the duo, including custom insole art along the Zoom bags.
