This week we’re on the fourth and final season of “Succession“.
In the third season, the Roys were in the midst of a power struggle following the death of patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox). Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) attempted to take control of the family business, but he was ultimately unsuccessful. In the season finale, Logan regained control of Waystar Royco, and Kendall was left in the dust.
Season 4 picks up where the third season left off, with the Roys still reeling from the events of the previous season. Kendall is likely to be licking his wounds, and he will be looking for a way to get back at his father. Logan, on the other hand, will be determined to maintain his grip on power.
The other Roy siblings, Shiv (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin), and Connor (Alan Ruck), are also likely to be involved in the power struggle. Shiv is now married to Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen), who is a rising star at Waystar Royco. Roman is still struggling with his mental health, but he is still a force to be reckoned with. And Connor is still the odd man out, but he is always scheming.
In addition to the Roy family, season 4 is also introduces some new characters. Alexander Skarsgård has been cast as Lukas Matsson, a tech mogul who is interested in buying Waystar Royco. Matsson is a ruthless businessman, and he could pose a serious threat to the Roys.
The Roys are a dysfunctional family, and they are all capable of great evil. But they are also fascinating characters, and it is impossible to look away.
