Disney+ subscribers are in for a change as the popular subscription video streaming service announces a new price bump.
Starting from 19th July 2023, the monthly price of a Disney+ subscription will be bumped to R139, a slight increase from the previous fee of R119. In contrast, the discounted annual plan will be R1390.
Existing subscribers who purchased their Disney+ subscription directly from the service before 19th July 2023 will not be immediately affected by the price adjustment. They will continue to pay the previous subscription prices until their renewal date, falling on or after 19th July. After that, they will be charged at the renewed subscription prices, aligning with the new rates.
For R1390 per year, subscribers can significantly reduce their monthly cost, effectively saving R38 per month compared to the previous annual plan price.
Users who signed up for Disney+ through a third party (Apple In-App Purchase, Google In-App purchase, or local partners) are advised to refer to their provider for more information.
