Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Asake, is set to make his long-awaited debut in London with a one-off show at The O2 Arena. The highly anticipated performance, scheduled for August 20, will mark a significant milestone in the artist’s career as he takes to the stage in the English capital for the very first time.

Asake’s journey to this momentous occasion hasn’t been without its challenges. At a previous gig in Brixton on December 15, an unfortunate incident unfolded when eager fans attempted to force their way into the venue, resulting in overcrowding and the cancellation of the show midway. Tragically, the incident led to the loss of two lives.

This upcoming London performance serves as an opportunity for Asake to put the past behind him and deliver a memorable experience to his fans.

Asake’s debut London show promises to be a milestone event in his career, allowing him to showcase his talent to a wider audience and solidify his position as a rising star in the Afrobeats scene. The Nigerian sensation’s journey from humble beginnings to international acclaim serves as an inspiration to aspiring artists, proving that hard work, dedication, and a unique musical vision can propel one to great heights. As the anticipation builds, fans eagerly await the moment when Asake takes center stage at The O2, ready to witness the magic of his music come to life.

Having already released two successful albums, “Mr Money With the Vibe” in 2022 and “Work of Art” in 2023, Asake has firmly established himself as a powerhouse in the Afrobeats genre. His debut album, “Mr. Money With The Vibe,” took the music scene by storm, boasting chart-topping hits such as “Joha,” “Terminator,” “PBUY,” and “Sungba” featuring Burna Boy. Garnering millions of streams, the album became the highest-charting Nigerian debut album of all time, earning accolades from esteemed publications like The New York Times, Rolling Stone, NPR, Pitchfork, and The FACE. Rolling Stone even hailed him as one of Nigeria’s most prominent breakout stars in recent years.

The 02 Arena will also welcome shows from J Hus, Rema and Trevor Noah in November.

With his undeniable talent and global appeal, Asake has emerged as a trailblazer in the Afro-Urban and Afrobeats genres. Audiences around the world have been captivated by his infectious sound and charismatic stage presence. Now, with a new body of work set to be unveiled this summer, Asake is gearing up to give his fans an unforgettable experience at The O2 Arena on August 20, 2023. Attendees can anticipate an electrifying performance filled with hits from his impressive catalog of songs.
