Nigerian sensation Tems will be heading to South Africa in September to headline the upcoming DStv Delicious Fest, along with American R&B star Maxwell.
Other international acts announced for this festival include Robert Glasper, Shalamar, Arrested Development, and Icognito.
This year’s festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday (23 and 24 September) at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand, Johannesburg.
It’s not easy to forget the chaos that occurred at the same festival in 2022, where many attendees experienced a horrible experience due to the poor logistics and organisation this festival provided.
To remedy this, the organisers announced new logistical changes, including a new ticketing partner, a pre-paid cashless system, reduced capacity, increased seating, and other improvements for the upcoming edition.
Local acts to perform at the festival includes Zakes Bantwini, Joyous Celebration, Ringo Madlingozi, Oscar Mbo and DJ Kent to name a few.
The annual two-day sell out festival has attracted some of the biggest names in the international, African and local food and music industries including Burna Boy, Jamiroquai, Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Hugh Masekela, Black Coffee, Louie Vega; chefs Reuben Riffel, Siba Mtongana and J Something amongst others.
