The kits feature a design concept called ‘The Beat Goes On,’ which highlights the African Rhythm created by Masandawana fans on match days.
The Home shirt graphic includes the MSFC print surrounded by audio waveforms that represent the drum beats, singing, and chanting of the supporters and players, creating an energetic atmosphere throughout the stadium before, during, and after matches.
PUMA’s Marketing Director, Brett Bellinger, explained that the design of the kits goes beyond the club badge, paying tribute to everyone involved in Mamelodi Sundowns, from the loyal fans to the staff, players, and academy talents. The use of drums holds significant cultural importance for the club, symbolizing the passion and energy of both the team and its supporters. Notably, the late John Black Madumo, known as the “Master Drum,” was one of the passionate supporters who exemplified dedication and was considered the heartbeat of the stadium.
